Four sites are through to the final round of Holtec’s factory competition: West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Cumbria and Tees Valley.

Analysis by the economics consultancy ChamberlainWalker estimates our 20 Ha factory is projected to:

Contribute £1.5 billion in Gross Value Added (GVA) to the economy of the chosen location,

Generate 3,000 skilled engineering UK unionised jobs over the next 20 years.

Be part of an export market which could be worth hundreds of billions in the run up to 2050.

Produce 2-4 reactors per year, valued at £1-2 billion each.

Site Selection: Shortlisted sites are under review, with the final decision on our UK factory location expected in Autumn 2024.

3,000 Skilled Jobs: Directly generating 3,000 skilled engineering unionised jobs in the UK over the next 20 years.

Construction Impact: Creating approximately 3,600 jobs during the construction phase.
